W mijającym tygodniu uwagę królewskich fanów przykuły przede wszystkim podróże. Książę i księżna Cambridge kontynuowali swoją podróż na Jamajce, natomiast książę Walii i księżna Kornwalii złożyli swoją szóstą oficjalną wizytę w Irlandii.
Zanim jednak książę Charles i księżna Camilla przybyli do Irlandii, 22 marca udali się z dwudniową wizytą do Irlandii Północnej. Jest to pierwsza z ich tegorocznych wizyt w ramach obchodów Platynowego Jubileuszu królowej, które odbędą w każdym zakątku Zjednoczonego Królestwa. Tymczasem książę i księżna Cambridge 22 marca rozpoczęli drugi etap swojej podróży z okazji Platynowego Jubileuszu, na Jamajce. Jamajka jest trzecią pod względem wielkości wyspą na Karaibach oraz trzecim pod względem zaludnienia anglojęzycznym krajem w obu Amerykach - zamieszkuje ją 2,9 miliona ludzi. Jednym z jej symboli jest koliber czarnogłowy - gatunek ptaka z rodziny kolibrowatych występujący jedynie na tej wyspie. Z kolei za drzewo narodowe uważany jest endemiczny gatunek Hibiscus elatus, nazywany też 'Blue Mahoe'.

OdpowiedzUsuńGarderoba księżnej podczas całej podróży fenomenalna. Cieszy mnie przede wszystkim biżuteria pożyczona od Królowej - ciekawa broszka z kolibrem i kolczyki oraz bransoletka z szmaragdami. Królowa nosiła je rzadko albo wcale, więc cudownie, że zyskały nowe życie.
OdpowiedzUsuńMedia mówią tylko o protestach, ale wrażenia z powitania przez mieszkańców, entuzjazm tłumów mówią zupełnie coś innego. Jak zawsze politycy chcą coś ugrać. Obecnie królowa nie kosztuje prawie nic Jamajki (poza wizytami królewskimi), bo jej dwór utrzymuje Wielka Brytania. Natomiast po przejściu na republikę będą musieli płacić za prezydenta.
Tłumy to ci, którzy są fanami rodziny królewskiej. Nic dziwnego, że są rozentuzjazmowani.
UsuńKate miała piękne stylizacje tej podróży.
